Elderly aphasia patient

Type: Speech-Language Pathology
Location: Santa Clarita, CA 91355

Hi there, my father (89 y.o.) recently suffered a stroke that has impaired his left parietal and temporal lobes. He can speak and can understand, but is having difficulties recalling words and relationships. His reading is very impaired. He was a very articulate and literate person and is suffering depression now that his brain isn't working, as he puts it.
Do you have experience working with elderly aphasia patients? Please let me know. Thank you. Nida
