Jordan Speech Services is committed to providing innovative speech-language therapy services to individuals in Hillsborough and surrounding areas. Jordan Speech Services also specializes in developing treatment programs for individuals with social communication weaknesses. Our services provide support to individuals across the lifespan with or without diagnoses which may include: learning differences, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), social communication disorder, autism spectrum disorders, social anxiety, and developmental disabilities.

Our treatment services are based upon Michelle Garcia Winner’s, CCC-SLP, Social Thinking concepts and core principals. “Social Thinking is a teaching framework for individuals aged preschool through adult that helps individuals learn to be better social thinkers and social communicators by breaking down social concepts into concrete, teachable formats using coordinated Social Thinking vocabulary, teaching tools and strategies.” Sessions are individualized to a participant’s needs and explore topic areas such as:
-Social problem solving
-emotional regulation
-perspective taking
-organizational skills
-executive functioning
-Attention
-parent component to help generalize social skills into the home, school, and community
Jennifer Jordan, MS, CCC-SLP received a Social Thinking Clinical Training Level 1 Assessment Certificate of Completion in September 2016.

Bio
Jennifer Jordan, MS, CCC-SLP has been practicing in the field of speech-language pathology since 2000 and opened Jordan Speech Services, PLLC in July 2009. Jennifer is certified as a speech-language pathologist by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. She obtained her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has work experiences in a variety of settings including: The Expedition School in Hillsborough, Wake County Public School System, Durham Public Schools, Children’s Developmental Services Agency, Head Start programs, and early intervention preschool settings. Jennifer has made continuing education a priority throughout her career and has extensive trainings in the fields of autism, play-based assessment, play-based therapy, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and the cycles approach for targeting phonological pattern errors. In September 2016, Jennifer received a Social Thinking Clinical Training Level 1 Assessment Certificate of Completion. Jennifer has served as a Clinical Supervisor for Clinical Fellows in the field and enjoys training new graduates. As a mother of two, Jennifer brings a unique blend of personal and professional experience incorporating her expertise with the following populations: ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), high functioning autism, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and early intervention in natural settings.
