Cognition, Speech & Language is an independent provider of speech, language, and cognitive services. We evaluate, treat, and consult with individuals who present with challenges in one or more of the following areas: Understanding language presented aloud or in writing - Clearly expressing wants, needs, and interests verbally and through writing - Engaging in social communication - Sustaining attention - Multi-tasking - Memory for familiar or new information - Reasoning for safe decision-making - Organizational and planning skills to support problem solving.
We see adults with developmental or acquired diagnoses who are seeking individualized therapeutic services to help them at various phases of transition into community, academic, or employment settings. Examples of clinical populations served include, but are not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual or Learning Disability, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (Including Concussion). |

Devon Brunson, MS, CCC-SLP, CBIS is a nationally certified speech-language pathologist (ASHA) and certified brain injury specialist (ACBIS). She is a licensed practitioner in the states of Georgia, Maryland, and North Carolina. Devon resides in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area. As a practitioner, Devon is passionate about making everyday routines more manageable for individuals with acquired and developmental diagnoses. She uses teletherapy as a medium to reach individuals and families in need of comprehensive and holistic care that goes beyond traditional therapy and seeks to help those better understand how cognition and communication are integrated in daily life. |
