Pediatric Speech and Language Therapy
We provide pediatric speech and language therapy. We specialize in assessment and treatment of children with developmental delays, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, speech sound disorders, language disorders, Down Syndrome, and autism spectrum disorders. Our therapy is typically play-based and child-focused. We are PROMPT trained and Hanen certified.
Kid Connections provides therapy sessions focused on speech sound production, understanding of language, expression of language, and pragmatics.
Based on the results of the evaluation, we will work with you to develop a customized therapy program to address areas of concern. Therapy is always based on current research and driven by the needs and interests of our clients.
We collaborate with school-based teams and other service providers to provide a comprehensive approach to a child's development, ensuring success in school and at home.
We specialize in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric speech sound disorders, language delays, and language disorders. Based in Severna Park, we provide services to families in Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County, and the surrounding area.
Bio
Shanna Klump, M.S., CCC-SLP
Shanna is the founder of Kid Connections. She is a certified Speech Language Pathologist specializing in assessment and treatment with the pediatric population.
Shanna has been practicing since 2007 in both the public school and private practice settings and has a strong background in the treatment of children with a variety of speech and language disorders, including childhood apraxia of speech, articulation and phonological delays, language delays, and language disorders. She has worked with children diagnosed with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and Autism spectrum disorders. Shanna is certified to provide the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk program for parents. She is also Bridging trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets).
Shanna lives in Annapolis with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, cooking, and exploring the outdoors by hiking, paddle boarding, or boating.
