Welcome to Playing Our Part Speech Therapy!
We are a speech therapy service serving pediatrics in Yucaipa and the surrounding areas. Parent participation is welcomed with open arms. Parent education is extremely important as you are with your little one more than anyone else. There are simple strategies you can use throughout your daily routines and play. And with practice, use of those strategies will become habitual. Welcome to Playing Our Part Speech Therapy, P.C.! Here, we learn through play and invite families to play a part in communication strategies. Located in Yucaipa, CA, our services are accessible and convenient. We prioritize functional communication goals that are engaging for your child. Goals are play-based and motivating for children and families.

Jennifer graduated with her bachelor's degree in Human Development - Lifespan Track with a minor in Psychology at California State University, San Bernardino. She received her Post Bachelor's Certificate in Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Los Angeles. Her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology was earned at California Baptist University. Throughout her time in college, Jennifer served as a one-on-one teacher assistant for children and transitioning aged youth with developmental disabilities. After graduating, Jennifer became a school-based speech-language pathologist where she served students ages 2 through 21 with various needs. Her time in the school setting allowed for collaboration opportunities with several professionals. She had the honor of creating playground and classroom communication boards for her school district while witnessing her students' communication flourish across settings. Jennifer is experienced in communication device set up and communication partner coaching (family members, teachers, and numerous professionals).

Jennifer created Playing Our Part Speech Therapy, P.C. to promote speech and language strategies in children's natural play and daily routines. Her mission is to collaborate with families in order to discover ways to easily integrate speech and language throughout their day. Jennifer is dedicated to serving children and educating families through play-based learning strategies. Her goal is for children to generalize acquired skills into their everyday lives, ultimately increasing children's independence. She understands the importance family involvement has on a child's wellbeing and strives to promote collaborative learning. Therefore, parent questions, comments, suggestions, and participation are met with open arms. Therapy with Jennifer will feel like play to your child as her warm, spirited personality sets a welcoming tone.
