Bio
My name is Kaitlin Pennington. I recently started Restorative Health & Wellness to improve access to expert led specialty services. My background is in evaluation and management of patients with head and neck cancer. I developed a large, integrated and multidisciplinary program at Community Health MD Anderson Cancer Center and fulfilled my role as supervisor alongside direct patient care for almost 10 years. I was able to get access to a variety of other support services and specialists that, in collaboration, provided the most effective support for patients when accessible. However, I witnessed firsthand the risks and complications that can present when patients are not provided the education and specialized care- which is far too often now with changes in insurance reimbursement and policies in larger organizations. This led to the development of a multidisciplinary clinic that provides expert care in a few subspecialty focus areas.
