Austin Stuttering & Communication Therapy provides specialized, individualized telehealth speech therapy for adults ages 18+ who stutter. Based in Austin and serving clients virtually throughout the state of Texas.
Stuttering can affect much more than the moments other people hear. You may find yourself switching words, rehearsing introductions, avoiding phone calls, staying quiet in meetings, or putting considerable effort into hiding your stutter. Whether your stuttering is noticeable to others or largely hidden, these experiences can make communication feel exhausting.
Therapy focuses on helping you communicate with greater comfort, confidence, and freedom—not requiring you to eliminate stuttering or achieve perfect fluency. Together, we identify the changes that matter to you, such as speaking up at work, making calls, introducing yourself, participating socially, or spending less energy anticipating and avoiding stuttering.
Sessions may include education about stuttering, avoidance reduction, self-advocacy, exploring thoughts and emotions around speaking, and practice with meaningful real-life situations. Speech strategies can also be explored when they fit your goals. Treatment is collaborative and tailored to your experiences, preferences, and priorities.
You will work directly with Zeb White, MS, CCC-SLP, throughout consultation, evaluation, and therapy. Many clients begin with weekly or every-other-week 50-minute sessions, with frequency determined together.
The practice is private-pay and telehealth-only, with limited reduced-fee availability. A free 30-minute video consultation gives you an opportunity to ask questions and explore whether ASCT is a good fit, without committing to therapy. Visit the practice website to learn more or request a consultation.
