We're here to help you access your voice!

At Uplift AT, we believe that communication is a fundamental human right. That means we don’t believe that there is only one way to communicate or that spoken speech is the “right way”. Instead, we focus on making sure each person has access to express their unique voice – through multi-modal communication!

We provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) evaluations and speech therapy for all ages so you can authentically and successfully communicate! We work with people of all ages, from infants to adults, in determining their need for alternative communication methods, getting the devices funded through insurance, and supporting their ongoing communication goals!

Services are provided virtually across Washington State and home-based in the Seattle area (Seattle, Burien, Renton, Tukwila, Bellevue, Kent). We specialize in neurodiversity affirming care, gestalt language processing, and all things assistive technology! We also can provide all our services in Spanish.

AAC Assessments
An AAC Assessment will determine which type of AAC is most effective and support getting any recommended devices funded through your insurance. An AAC assessment includes a comprehensive speech and language evaluation, trials of at least three AAC systems, access method modifications, and an insurance funding packet. If you're not sure whether your child or loved one needs AAC, that's okay too! We'll get started with a holistic evaluation and walk you through options from there.

AAC Assessments vary in length depending on the access needs of the communicator.
After the initial evaluation ~2 hours, we'll give an estimated number of follow-up trial sessions ~1 hour each.
AAC Assessments include an insurance funding packet or support in getting your device through alternative payers.
