Bio
Meet Jenn Scott, M.A., M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Jenn Scott is the heart behind Play to Say Therapy, where communication grows through play, connection, and family partnership. A nationally certified and Virginia-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Jenn brings over 15 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults discover their voices—whether that means saying first words, rebuilding language after an injury, or connecting through American Sign Language.
Jenn helps children who are hard to understand, stutter, have trouble following directions or finding the right words, struggle with reading and schoolwork, or feel unsure in social situations. She also offers specialized support for families seeking accent modification. Jenn is passionate about supporting her own and others’ neurodiverse children as they build communication skills, self-advocacy, and independence in everyday life.
A lifelong learner and creative at heart, Jenn draws inspiration from her love of family, cooking, the arts, and social dance—from salsa and hula to waltz and West Coast swing. She also enjoys exploring Deaf Culture and nonverbal communication. Having moved more than ten times as the spouse of an active-duty Soldier, Jenn deeply values resilience, adaptability, and genuine connection.
At home, you’ll find her cooking with her family or cheering her teenagers on as they take new steps toward independence—values that mirror her therapeutic approach: flexible, empowering, and rooted in real life.
“Therapy that fits your family. Partners in your child’s progress.”
