Can Enjoying Spring Improve Speech and Language?
4/10/21
I can't wait to get outside this spring.🌞 Did you know that new settings motivate children to talk? Novelty is an essential ingredient to learning! (Bored kids are not learning to their full potential!!) What do you think about taking a "listening walk," vocab scavenger hunt or even hop scotch articulation practice? All of these easy to do activities using things you have in your yard can help you teach your child language. Follow your child's interest and name the things they look at. If they know the name, add a descriptor word (Yes, that's a flower. Its a PINK flower). Label the actions you see your child doing ("Wow! You are JUMPING!").
