Western Carolina University Outpatient Clinic provides full speech, language, swallowing services to adult and child clients in beautiful Cullowhee, NC, nestled in the western North Carolina mountains. Located on the New Millennium Campus, the Speech Pathology department is easy to find with plenty of available parking and handicapped accessibility. We have 12 Speech Language Pathologists ready to serve your needs. We at WCU Speech Pathology see each of our patients as individuals with their own specific needs, and rest assured our treatment will be specifically designed for you, based on individual condition, needs and goals. All treatment is 1 on 1, with 100% of your time being with a licensed certified speech pathologist. Sessions usually last between 45 minutes to an hour. Working with area physicians, hospitals and schools, we are able to assess your oral and pharyngeal structure, perform instrumental swallow assessments, provide full evaluations and treatment with individualized treatment plans.
