97 year old Mom stopped talking after March surgery

My Mom is 97 yrs old. She was very verbal until she had femur surgery (3/14), followed by gallstone removal and melanoma surgery. Since March she seems to understand everything but only responds mostly with 1-2 words, sometimes we get a few more words. Can therapy help? What are your thoughts. Is this from anesthesia? We hope she can be helped and are seeing some improvements recently |
