Kat's sincere passion to help young children and adolescents motivated her to continue to pursue additional trainings for finding solutions for various speech disorders beyond the traditional therapy approach, using various evidence based approaches for targeting delays in speech and language.

Kat is a former Registered Behavioral Therapist (ABA), who worked with children on the Autism Spectrum. Kat is also licensed as an early intervention therapist, helping young babies and young children, from birth to age 3, who have trouble communicating, learn essential communication skills for interacting with peers and caregivers across a variety of settings. Kat has worked in home health and outpatient settings with children with various diagnoses to include, but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, down syndrome, stuttering/ fluency disorders, speech delay, hearing impaired, childhood apraxia, tongue tie, receptive/ expressive language disorder, and articulation disorder.

Bio
Kat is a small business owner, U.S. Navy veteran, and Texas native. After being discharged from the navy, she remained in Virginia, where she pursued her career in speech pathology. Kat received both her bachelor's and master's degree in Communication sciences and disorders from Old Dominion University.
