Emily specializes in language disorders including difficulties in phonology, morphology, syntax, and vocabulary. She is passionate about remediating speech and language disorders, especially in their relation to literacy difficulties. Emily firmly believes that language (written and spoken) is the key to success in school and in life! She is committed to ensuring that everyone has that key to success.
Education/Training
Emily received a PhD from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon and She consistently engages in continuing education programs to provide the highest level of service to her clients.
Bio
Emily has over 25 years of experience working with elementary and preschool aged children. She has worked in a variety of schools, districts and universities throughout Oregon, providing her with a unique perspective of the required skills expected throughout a child's school career.
Memberships
Emily is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and the International Dyslexia Association.
