WordsWorth Speech-Language Pathology was established to serve school-aged children and adolescents who struggle with literacy, language and executive functioning. A Speech-Language Pathology practice providing the most current and successful evidence-based approaches to help children achieve their maximum potential with confidence. WordsWorth provides comprehensive assessments designed to inform an accurate diagnosis, develop focused interventions, and identify appropriate accommodations and modifications.
Education/Training
I graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Science. I obtained my Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Bio
Lesley was drawn to the field of Speech-Language Pathology after years of trying to support her daughter's struggles with dyslexia. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Fascinated by the fusion of neuroscience and language, Lesley specializes in dyslexia and related language-learning disabilities, including executive function. Her objective is to partner with parents and educators to support a child’s success. At WordsWorth, the mission is to bring the most current and successful evidenced-based approaches to the children who need it the most, so they may achieve their maximum potential with confidence.
Memberships
I have an Associate membership with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners. I am a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, (CBIS) and can assist families in the event of cognitive challenges post-concussion.
