She also has a special interest in creating language inclusive programs for elementary-aged students as well as investigating differentiated memory strategies to support language and literacy. More recently, Lisa has become certified as an assistive technology professional and has vast experiences working with children who are nonverbal. Therapy is conducted via a group or individual session depending on client need.
Education/Training
At Assumption University, I took a Linguistics class that spurred my interest to become a speech and language pathologist. I continued my masters level education at Northeastern University. I graduated in 2002, and I began PSLT in 2004. I have met the most wonderful folks over the years, friends that I still have today, students that come back and observe to someday become an SLP themselves. It has been a journey, and I have loved every moment.
Bio
Phillips Speech and Language Therapy has been in practice since 2004. Over the years, we have been blessed to serve so many of our local communities to improve the communication needs of children through college-aged students. Lisa has had significant experience working with children with both language and literacy impairments as well as with those who are using augmentative communication to express their wants and needs. Would love to schedule a consultation with you!
Lisa is married and a mom of a 13-year-old boy, Bryce. She has two cats, Mario and Luigi. For fun, Lisa loves to run, partake in yoga and read, whenever possible; she really enjoys nonfiction and autobiography.
