Speech Language Pathologist/Owner Tara Boettcher, M.S., CCC-SLP As a speech-language pathologist certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licenced by the state of Texas, Tara specializes in the identification, evaluation, and treatment of communication and related disorders. She has worked as a SLP for over 18 years. After working in rehabilitative care and public school settings, she found that there were not enough SLP's in private practice to adequately serve the community. In 2006, she opened her private practice, "Speech Language & Learning Services" Tara is also a mother of three energetic boys which allows her to have a unique perspective when working with families. Two of her children have been identified with special needs including Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, speech apraxia, and sensory processing disorders.

Our lead practitioner, Mrs. Tara Boettcher is experienced in Kinesiology principles and application to neuromuscular, oral, and facial weakness. Mrs. Tara is certified in the Ampcare Effective Swallowing Protocol (ESP) using Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) to treat Swallowing and oral/facial disorders. This is the only FDA approved system and program which uses NMES for swallowing disorders. Mrs. Tara utilizes principles of Myofascial Release and its application to disorders when muscular function is an underlying cause or contributing factor. She is an Authorized Dealer for The Listening Program® from Advanced Brain Technologies. She is a distributor of Young Living Essential Oils and is resourceful and knowledgeable in identifying which oils may be helpful with the conditions our patients present. She enhances therapy sessions using the natural benefits of essential oils and aroma therapy.
