Victoria Penn
Speech-Language Pathologist
Dysphagia Clinical Specialist
I have recently transitioned back to Naples,FL from Dubai UAE in which I lived and worked overseas for the past 3 years. My current private practice is Bloom Speech and Language Therapy LLC located on 704 Goodlette-Frank Rd. North Suite 203 Naples , FL 34102 . The office primarily services Pediatrics to teenagers and Adults. I am an advanced Speech Pathologist who received a Master of Science in Speech Pathology from Howard University in Washington, DC in 1984 with over 30 years of clinical experience. My clinical training throughout my career began as a member of the 'trauma team" in working with traumatic brain injury at a Level I Trauma teaching Hospital in Pennsylvania for 10 successful years. I have completed over 800+ Modified Barium Swallow Studies for inpatients and outpatients with Adults and Pediatrics who have sustained Dysphagia. Following my position on the trauma team, I worked for a Rehab Hospital primarily inpatient with occasional outpatient therapy with patients sustaining CVA, Parkinsons, TBI, MS, ALS, and Voice Disorders. Recent Speech Pathology positions included providing Speech and Dysphagia Therapy with medically fragile infants and toddlers. Additionally, I have successfully completed funding for a toddler for a BAHA Bone Conductive Hearing Aid through the University of Miami Hearing and Cochlear Institute.
I have recently had the privilege of working as a traveling therapist providing therapy to high school students and head start clinics in the United States Virgin Islands, (USVI) which will hold a special place of remembrance in my practice. I recently returned from Dubai UAE in 2019 in which i worked with Pediatric Neurologists as well as developed my private practice in working with children in schools, nursery schools and in their homes.
I look forward to working with you and your family. I will design your therapy program with clinical expertise and creativity. I occasionally see concierge clients in the privacy of your home as well.
