Speech and Language Services for Children
Soaring Speech is a child-centered, speech and language therapy private practice located in Windham, New Hampshire. Our mission is to provide superior speech and language services to children. Speech and language skills are essential for achieving academic success, establishing and maintaining social relationships with family and friends, as well as developing positive self-esteem. Therapy is individualized to meet the needs of each child. Each session targets the child's area of need, while incorporating the child's strengths and interests. Literacy, fine motor and gross motor activities are incorporated into each session. Goals are clearly defined and outlined to the parent and child. Progress is recorded each session and graphed with the child to keep the child motivated and soaring to success.
Education/Training
Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from University of Central Florida, as well as a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Northeastern University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is licensed in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Tara is also licensed as an Early Intervention Associate through the State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services.
Bio
Tara has been working as a speech language pathologist, also known as a speech therapist, since 1999 in early intervention, public schools, and outpatient services. Areas of expertise include articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, as well language-based learning disabilities. Tara is available to see children during after school hours, including early evenings and weekend appointments for speech and language therapy in Windham.
