Specializing in Voice Therapy & Vocal Cord Dysfunction/ PVFM
Sharon Frank, Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in voice disorders.

The practice specializes in seeing people with voice disorders and athletes with vocal cord dysfunction which is also goes by EI-PVFM.

Many of our clients need to improve their vocal clarity to function better in a variety of settings (home, work, socially, community) or to be better singers. Some of these adults are trying to avoid vocal fold (cord) surgery or need post-operative voice therapy.

Finally, some of our clients are adults and children who want to participate and excel in sports without having breathing problems due to Paradoxical Vocal Fold Movement (PVFM).

We provide comprehensive initial evaluations by thoroughly reviewing our client’s history, conducting formal and informal testing, analyzing the test results, formulating a therapy plan, and discussing the results and recommendations with the client/family so they have a clear understanding of the client’s current status, prognosis, and therapeutic goals at the completion of their first visit to this Center.

We provide individual weekly therapy sessions, striving to match the needs of the client with the skills of the treating SLP. We welcome questions and discuss the outcome of each session with the parent/client, and strongly encourage follow-through by the parent/client between sessions.

Our SLPs are certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Seminars are available for various school systems, service organizations, and to the community.
