Heartfelt's mission is to improve overall communication and quality of life by providing personalized therapy to children, adults, the geriatric population, and their families in need of our services. Katelyn Van Schaik is a New Jersey State licensed and American Speech-Hearing Association (ASHA) accredited speech-language pathologist with 5+ years experience working with preschool, school-aged children, adults, and geriatrics. She has extensive clinical experience with dysphagia (swallowing disorders), voice disorders, motor-speech disorders (apraxia/dysarthria), aphasia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and speech and language delays and disorders in pre-school and school-aged special education, and adults in rehabilitation and hospital settings. She is PROMPT level 1 trained, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) trained, and has attended numerous continuing education seminars and workshops on various areas of the field.
