Patricia J. Grant is a licensed speech-language pathologist and board certified orofacial myologist in Arroyo Grande, CA. She is the only certified orofacial myologist in San Luis Obispo county. With over 30 years of experience, and extensive post graduate training in evaluating and treating articulation/speech sound disorders, stuttering, voice disorders, motor speech disorders and orofacial myofunctional disorders, Patricia is considered an expert in her field. Bio: |
A California native, born in Los Angeles, Patricia received her BA degree from University of California, Santa Barbara in 1980 and MA degree from University of Colorado, Boulder in 1982. She spent 25 years in Colorado, initially working in acute rehabilitation then managed an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic. She opened her first private practice in 1993. In 2005, Patricia and her family moved to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and again worked in an acute care hospital and private practice with St. Croix Ear, Nose, and Throat. In 2009, she moved to the Central Coast with her son. After 5 years as a staff speech pathologist with Lucia Mar Unified School District, Patricia opened her own practice in the Village of Arroyo Grande. Patricia enjoys golf, swimming, and travel. She is a dedicated soccer mom for 15 year old Grant, who made the JV soccer team at Arroyo Grande High School as a freshman. |
