Practice Information |
With 8 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I specialize in working with children from birth to 18. My approach is centered on respect, collaboration, and empowerment. I believe in the unique strengths each child and their family bring to the therapy process, and I'm committed to building upon these in our sessions. I strive to create a welcoming environment where every voice is heard and valued. I encourage families to actively participate in their child's therapy, enhancing the effectiveness of our work together. Clear communication is key in my practice. I provide understandable explanations about the therapy process and progress, and I'm always open to questions. I'm dedicated to educating families about their child's condition and the strategies we're using in therapy. Together, we celebrate successes and foster a sense of hope and possibility for a brighter future. |

Bio: |
I am a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with 8 years of experience, specializing in working with children from birth to 18. My journey into this rewarding career was inspired by a personal experience. A family friend had a near-fatal accident, and during his recovery, I was introduced to the world of rehabilitative therapies, including speech-language pathology. Witnessing the profound impact of these therapies, I was drawn to the opportunity to work one-on-one with clients, helping them find their voice and make a significant difference in their lives.
Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, I have transitioned to providing 100% remote services. This shift has allowed me to witness firsthand the power and effectiveness of this service delivery method. It has not only facilitated continued care during challenging times but also fostered increased participation and empowerment of caregivers, who play a pivotal role in their children's development.
I am a recipient of the ASHA ACE Award for Continuing Education, an accolade that recognizes professionals who have gone above and beyond the yearly requirements for ongoing education. This commitment to continuous learning ensures that I am always equipped with the latest best practices to support the clients and families I serve.
At the heart of my practice is a family-centered approach that emphasizes practice in natural environments outside of sessions. I believe in celebrating the strengths of the children I work with, adopting a strengths-based approach rather than focusing on deficits. This perspective fosters a positive and empowering therapeutic environment, encouraging children and their families to recognize and build upon their unique abilities.
Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and potential of the children and families I work with. I am committed to supporting each child's journey, celebrating their successes, and fostering a sense of hope and possibility for a brighter future. |
