At MidCoast SLP Speech Therapy, personalized and evidence-based speech and language therapy services are provided to clients and families. Our goal is to help all achieve their communication goals and improve their quality of life. This practice specializes in treating the pediatric population.
We focus on total communication approaches to support individuals and their expressive and receptive language development, improving articulation and intelligibility, social communication skills, and addressing speech fluency. Play based strategies that are easy to transition into home carryover along with parent and caregiver involvement during sessions are encouraged! |

Bio: |
Meaghan Chicoine is the owner and primary speech and language pathologist of MidCoast, LLC. Meg has been a practicing speech language pathologist all over New England since 2015. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Deaf Studies from Ithaca College and went on to receive her Masters of Science in Education from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA and is licensed to practice in the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
Meg has experience working with multiple early intervention programs and private practices across states. She has treated individuals with needs in receptive and expressive language, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), fluency, social skills, pragmatic language, and articulation. Meg has worked with children with a variety of developmental and medical diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, hearing impairments, developmental delays, stuttering, ADD/ADHD, and Specific Language Impairment.
In her spare time, Meg enjoys time with her husband and their three young children, reading, and being at the Pine Point Beach. |
