Katie, a caring, compassionate, and energetic speech and language pathologist, has been practicing since 2008. Katie received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and hearing Science at the University of Illinois in 2002 and received her Master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from the Saint Louis University in 2008. Katie is a certified speech and language pathologist in the state of Illinois and is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
Katie has extensive experience working with children in the home setting, office setting, and school setting. She finds seeing the progress children make inspiring and loves making a positive difference. Additionally, she is also a mother and understands first hand wanting the best for your child, reading milestone charts, and wanting your child to succeed.
Katie provides early intervention (birth to three) and provides speech and language intervention to preschool, elementary, and high school aged children with articulation, fluency, pragmatic language disorders secondary to Autism, language processing and auditory processing disorders, apraxia, phonological, and expressive and receptive language disorders and delays. Katie also provides speech, language, and communication therapy for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and cerebral palsy.
Katie is very communicative and collaborates with ancillary healthcare, therapeutic, and educational professionals in order to provide a comprehensive treatment plan. Katie provides consistent communication with parents and family members regarding progress.
