Susan is the founder of Summit Speech Services. She has been a speech language pathologist for over 25 years. Susan has worked with children and young adults privately, in the clinic, and in the private/public school settings. Her areas of expertise include: preschool language, speech sounds disorders, language delays/disorders, fluency/stuttering, social communication, and educating families on speech language issues. I feel privileged to have had the experience of working with many different individuals, families, and professionals across a variety of settings, over the years. To understand and to speak with clarity and confidence, whether it's at the dinner table, on the playground, in the classroom, or in the boardroom, my desire is to help individuals and families achieve their greatest speech language potential. I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) speech-language pathologist working on the north side of Chicago. I love working directly with children and their families in their homes, daycares, and schools to help support them to be the best communicators they can be. I have extensive experience working with kids struggling with articulation and phonology, apraxia of speech, developmental delays, receptive and expressive language delays, hearing loss, autism, dyslexia and other reading difficulties, picky eating, and more. I also hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by The American Speech Language /Haaring Association. Additionally I am licensed by the Illinois State Board of Education. Since 1986, my experience includes working with children and adults in schools, clinics, nursing homes and hospital settings. I have also taught at two local Universities and supervised clinical interns.
