Our owner, Megan, received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her master's degree from The University of North Texas. She specializes in dysphagia, augmentative-alternative communication, and neurological disorders. Megan is named after her great-grandmother and childhood best friend, Ellen Christelle. Ellen was a truly selfless person who could always be found helping others and this practice is named in her honor. Despite the 77-year age gap, her grandmother kept Megan entertained with gardening, games, cooking, and swimming in the lake, all while teaching her invaluable life lessons. It was this relationship that began Megan's lifelong affection for working with the adult population. Megan has spent the last 12 years working with adults with developmental and acquired disabilities. She has a knack for quickly forming strong bonds with her patients, no matter the severity of their cognitive, pragmatic, or behavioral needs. She prides herself on being able to serve those who may not have had success with prior therapy. Growing up in small town, Texas, Megan is acutely aware of the lack of accessible services for those who often need the most assistance. Christelle Clear Speech Therapy was created to reach a broader clientele of those underserved. It is designed to encourage smaller caseloads without productivity standards to encourage quality, individualized care, and facilitate close working relationships with our clients.

Ginny has two degrees in English, plus an all-level teaching certification (grades 1-12), from the University of Texas-Austin, as well as 18 hours toward a doctorate at Texas State University. She has been working as a Certified Academic Language Therapist, and now as a Licensed Dyselxia Therapist, for 20 years. She also has been a dyslexia therapist in the capacity of tester and therapist for two school districts, and as well as a private consultant, for 20 years. She has access to and experience in several scientific learning programs (which she either uses in their entirety or pulls from) to create tailored reading, spelling, and writing programs specifically geared for success with each individual child. These heavily researched and scientifically-based programs include: "Basic Language Skills" (used at Rawson-Saunders School in Austin); Scottish Rite Learning Center's "Take Flight Language Program"; Lindamood Bell Company's "Visualizing and Verbalizing," "Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing," and "Seeing Stars" programs; and "Project Read." Ginny is also able to use her experience treaching honors English and in college debate to work with students' wriitng and honing their receptive/expressive lanuage skills. She works with students from pre-schoolers through adults. Ginny also works with elementary students who have learning disabilities involving mathematics, using the Lindamood-Bell "On Cloud Nine" program.
