Hello, I’m Elizabeth McGuire, MA CCC-SLP, Licensed Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist. Parents call me Ms Elizabeth, and the toddlers call me Ms. M. Supporting children to develop their communication skills and reach their maximum potential for 22+ years. The early years create the greatest impact in how we are able to communicate with our children, and how they will interact with their surroundings. I use my expertise earned via my Master’s degree, and through working with thousands of school aged children along with specializing in baby and toddler speech and language therapy since 2007. My Philosophy ------------------------- My philosophy is that children who enjoy their therapy sessions strive with focus and make greater progress without thinking it is work. Our goal is to eliminate the anxiety, pressure, or “performance” aspect that can happen with delayed talking and replace it with a joy for making sounds and words. My welcoming environment builds trust between child, therapist, and families. We work together as a cohesive unit toward the quickest betterment of the child’s communication skills. As such, parental involvement is important. We include parents and/or caregivers as much as possible. We also provide families with activities that can be worked on at home. My Approach ----------------------- I feel the best intervention is that which the children enjoy and don’t realize it is therapy. Parents tell me that because we combine play-based therapy with parent training, they leave each session with real-life tools to use right away at home. I strive for my family clients to have the best and quickest success, and therefore provide multimodal methods to the therapy process. I’m constantly updating the therapy procedures with the most updated information possible, as evidenced by my three outstanding awards I have received for additional training. I provide services in either English or Spanish, depending on the needs of the family.

My name is Analicia Lucas, and I am the owner of Lake Murray Speech. I had worked in the outpatient hospital setting for years and saw how often, the length and quality of therapy is dictated by hospital policies and productivity standards. ABOUT US: Lake Murray Speech & Language was created to provide high-quality, more affordable speech and language services for those seeking private individual therapy. Our mission is to help each person gain the skills and confidence they need to become excellent communicators. We can effectively treat a variety of disorders, but we have specialized experience working with bilingual clients, Spanish-speakers, and American Sign Language users. In San Diego, many opportunities exist for children to receive speech therapy at no cost to the family. San Diego Regional Center speech therapy services are available for children ages 0-3 with severe needs and Children's Care Connection (C3) services are available to children 0-6 with mild to moderate needs. The San Diego RiteCare Childhood Language Center also accepts applications for free therapy for children ages 2-12. Additionally, your local school district provides free services to those who qualify (generally, children with moderate to severe impairments). If your child qualifies for any of these services, we encourage you to use them! Many children do not qualify, even if parents see a need for speech services. Other times, children qualify but are placed on a long waitlist. Some only qualify for very short sessions within a group setting and make limited progress this way. Similarly, if adults have a health insurance policy that does not cover speech therapy, the options for low or no-cost therapy are limited. That is why Lake Murray Speech & Language was created! We offer excellent speech therapy services in San Diego for those who are looking for more options.

We work with individuals of all ages from birth to adulthood.
