Tenacious. Ally – all that is Sarah White. If you’ve had the pleasure of talking or working alongside Sarah you know what a ball of fire she can be. As Speakology’s Chief Executive Officer and co-owner of the practice, Sarah brings that passion and strong work ethic to everything that she does- whether it’s playing tetris with scheduling, collaborating with other professionals or thinking critically about a “deep dive” she just did into a learner’s profile. Sarah doesn’t waiver in her commitment to the families that we serve and with Jen formed the Speakology that everyone knows and loves today. With over 15 years of experience Sarah provides expert training, consultation and services for the educational portion of Speakology services – including Independent Educational Evaluations and PPT representation. In conducting an IEE, Sarah evaluates the areas of need which may include receptive and expressive communication, speech production, motor speech (apraxia/dysarthria) social pragmatics, literacy, as well as feeding and oral motor skills. Sarah also considers and recommends augmentative and alternative/ assistive technology when appropriate. Sarah’s professional experience travels across the lifespan, with her days spent in early intervention with the CT Birth to Three System and within the geriatric and home-care population, assessing and providing intervention for local rehabilitation facilities. Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Connecticut. Sarah is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Sarah holds her Department of Public Health License from the State of Connecticut.
