I am trained in an Orton Gillingham approach known as SMARTER Intervention, but I also use materials from well-known reading researchers such as Dr. Kirkpatrick. If you child is struggling with academics in school, he or she may have an underlying language or literacy impairment. I have spent over 5 years working with children ages 1-18 but I have spent the most time in schools working with students who have language and learning disabilities. I love supporting these students and helping them succeed. I love advocating for them in the school system. I'm trained in PROMPT, Beckman, and Buteyko, I’m a Certified Orofacial Myologist, and a Certified Breast Feeding Specialist. My comprehensive functional assessments take a wholistic approach when considering patient symptoms which often provides a more thorough baseline and more accurate diagnosis leading to better therapeutic outcomes. Lingua specializes in a wide range of medically-based services to improve speech production, oral intake skills, cognitive-communication abilities, and voice production. Uniquely, Lingua is able to provide manual therapy for head, face, and neck tension. ​Services are able to be provided in your home for a naturalistic environment in Wilkes Barre, Scranton, and the surrounding areas. Teletherapy is also able to be provided for those available in Pennsylvania or Nebraska.
