Services: ** TELETHERAPY AVAILABLE ** LSVT-LOUD (Speech treatment for Parkinson's Disease patients):We provide evaluation and treatment for Parkinson’s Disease related communication deficits. Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological deficits often cause faulty feedback to the brain which can result in communication that is too soft, mumbled, monotone or hoarse. Because of this, patients with Parkinson's Disease can often be difficult to understand. Our LSVT-LOUD treatment teaches Parkinson’s Disease patients techniques to improve their communication ability and perception of appropriate loudness. Dysphagia – Patients with dysphagia have difficulty swallowing and may experience pain while swallowing, making it difficult to eat. Dysphagia is caused by weak muscles in the mouth and throat and is often a result of a stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease or Alzheimer’s disease. Aphasia – Aphasia causes patients to have difficulty reading, speaking, listening and writing. Aphasia is caused by damage to parts of the brain that are responsible for language. Apraxia – Patients with apraxia have difficulty speaking what he/she wants to speak. Apraxia can occur in two forms. Patients can be born with the disorder or it can develop from a stroke or head injury. Dysarthria – Patients with dysarthria may have slurred speech, a slow or rapid rate of speech, abnormal rhythm when speaking or difficulty chewing and swallowing. Dysarthria can develop from a stroke or head injury. Stuttering – Stuttering is a communication disorder that causes difficulty in fluency of speech. This includes involuntary repetitions of words, parts of words or sounds. Stuttering is also referred to as stammering. Dementia – Dementia is related to memory loss. A speech-language pathologist can help patients with dementia by using strategies to help preserve communications and cognitive function.

Lake Murray Speech & Language
Speech-Language Pathologist
San Diego, CA 92119
We can help you with language, stuttering, voice, & speech!
~personalized speech therapy in a comfortable environment~
My name is Analicia Lucas, and I am the owner of Lake Murray Speech. I had worked in the outpatient hospital setting for years and saw how often, the length and quality of therapy is dictated by hospital policies and productivity standards. I wanted to create a more comfortable, personalized, and home-like experience for clients to come to therapy and work on their communication skills. That is how my private practice began. Here at Lake Murray Speech, we help those who have difficulty communicating to develop new skills and confidence. We provide speech therapy services for children and adults with the following concerns: Speech Sound Impairment, Language Impairment, Social Language/Pragmatic Disorder, Aphasia, Voice Disorder, Tongue Thrust, Stuttering, Hearing Loss/Aural Rehabilitation, Accent Modification, Apraxia of Speech, Augmentative & Alternative Communication. ABOUT US: Lake Murray Speech & Language was created to provide high-quality, more affordable speech and language services for those seeking private individual therapy. Our mission is to help each person gain the skills and confidence they need to become excellent communicators. We can effectively treat a variety of disorders, but we have specialized experience working with bilingual clients, Spanish-speakers, and American Sign Language users. In San Diego, many opportunities exist for children to receive speech therapy at no cost to the family. San Diego Regional Center speech therapy services are available for children ages 0-3 with severe needs and Children's Care Connection (C3) services are available to children 0-6 with mild to moderate needs. The San Diego RiteCare Childhood Language Center also accepts applications for free therapy for children ages 2-12. Additionally, your local school district provides free services to those who qualify (generally, children with moderate to severe impairments). If your child qualifies for any of these services, we encourage you to use them! Many children do not qualify, even if parents see a need for speech services. Other times, children qualify but are placed on a long waitlist. Some only qualify for very short sessions within a group setting and make limited progress this way. Similarly, if adults have a health insurance policy that does not cover speech therapy, the options for low or no-cost therapy are limited. That is why Lake Murray Speech & Language was created! We offer excellent speech therapy services in San Diego for those who are looking for more options.

Cascade Clinic Speech Therapy

SPEECH THERAPY
CASCADE CLINIC
Providing compassionate comprehensive quality speech and language services in Vancouver, WA Portland, OR and surrounding areas. I have been a licensed Speech Language Pathologist providing direct services to individuals requiring speech and language services, for 13 years. Majority of my career as a speech language pathologist has been providing direct care to the pediatric population, in a variety of settings including: early intervention, public school, inpatient hospital and outpatient rehabilitation clinics. I graduated from Portland State University’s Speech and Hearing Sciences program with my Masters in Speech and Hearing Sciences in June of 2010. After graduating I began my career as a speech language pathologist in this specialized field that focuses on assessing, diagnosing and treating individuals with a vast array of speech, language, cognitive communication and feeding difficulties and disorders. Everyday I am given the opportunity to provide tailored treatment plans to individuals and their families and/or caregivers who have been diagnosed with difficulties and/or disorders within expressive and receptive language, speech articulation and phonology, cognitive function, pragmatic communication or feeding, to address their specific goals and objectives. Therapy begins with initial assessment of each individual's current skills and area/s of difficulty. Having sufficient assessments within a clinic’s battery of assessment ensures appropriate diagnostics and projects the treatment plan successfully. Having a clinical setting equipped to support inclusivity of all levels and all needs is equally important as having quality assessments and certified, specialized providers. After working in a variety of settings and being faced with the challenges of COVID and increased pressure for productivity by larger clinical settings I decided it was time to return to the community I reside and start my private practice I had been dreaming of. This private practice allows me to provide compassionate quality care in a community I call my home.
