Crofton, MD 21114
Wellspring Therapy Services is an excellent choice for treatment of speech disorders including apraxia of speech, stuttering, voice disorders and speech sound problems such as articulation and phonological processes. Additionally, we provide therapy services for children with language-based learning disorders, Autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. Why Wellspring? "Wellspring" means a source of continuous supply. We believe that child development occurs in a similar fashion; in a continuous and flowing fashion, and speech and language skills are integral to this flow. Our services are aimed at intervening early, when human development is most rapid, thus giving each child the best possible start in their overall development. Because families have the greatest impact on their child’s development, our services also focus on giving families’ information and teaching them new skills. Wellspring is committed to working with families and educators to develop personalized therapy goals and innovative treatment techniques.

I have been working with individuals with neurologic impairments for over 15 years and have valuable experience from some of the top rehabilitation centers in the country. I provide comprehensive evaluations and follow-up treatment for individuals with stroke, brain injury, concussion, brain tumors, aphasia, apraxia, and other neurogenic conditions. I tailor therapy to your individualized treatment goals, and focus on restoring your ability to do the things you love to do at home, in the community, at school, or at work. My philosophy is based on the Life Participation approach, which considers the whole person, their environment, and the connection of therapy tasks to participation in the activities of daily life. Therapy sessions can be based in my office, your home, the community or in a group or family centered environment. Treatment is functional, rewarding and supportive. I strive to empower my patients and their families while improving outcomes and independence.

Cindy Hooks Morrison, M.S., CCC-SLP, CLC
Speech-Language Pathologist

Succeeding at Feeding
Cindy Morrison, M.S., CCC-SLP, CLC founded Chew Chew Mama for every family out there who is ready for happier, stress-free mealtimes and who wants their children to build a solid foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating. Cindy has spent her career helping families get past feeding refusals and onto happier mealtimes. Say good bye to mealtime stress and replace it with fun at your table and healthy in your food! Chew Chew Mama virtual programs create positive results because Cindy understands where science fails to meet the reality of being a parent who juggles a world of responsibilities and she can bridge that gap. Cindy meets families where the needs of their individual child dictates, because one size fits all feeding advice only works for cookie-cutter families and they don’t exist. Instead, she’s had the pleasure of meeting and working with hundreds of uniquely awesome parents and children. Cindy helps families to look beyond the table for answers that they may not be seeing and she teaches you how to do so. She’ll help you search to find the “why” behind the underlying causes of frustrating feeding refusals occurring at your table. Even in the midst of a tantrum, your child’s behavioral symptoms can serve as a beacon in the chaos to explain where something has gone off track. There is always a reason for feeding refusals that goes beyond behavior. So we’ll find those clues together and get things back on track. What is Chew Chew Mama’s ultimate goal for her families? To coach parents through the feeding tips and tricks used by expert feeding therapists and give them a tool box full of usable, real-life strategies that work and are rooted in the latest science and research. Cindy’s advice for your picky eater? Let today be the last time that you utter the frustrated words “take a bite” and join me on a journey to help your children learn to love healthy eating without stress.
