Generate Fluent Speech with Dynamic Stuttering Therapy
People of all ages come to the Communication Therapy Institute for treatment and advice concerning stuttering. In addition many student clinicians have done their internship at our clinic. Since CTI treats only people who stutter, the entire staff is knowledgeable about the many issues related to stuttering and is experienced in finding solutions to the problems that our clients and their families face. Our treatment approach is holistic and focuses on the person who presents a problem of speech fluency, instead of focusing on the speech itself. Our goal is to help people who stutter experience the pleasure of speaking and communicating thoughts and ideas. At Online Stuttering Therapy, we treat people who stutter from the age of approximately 14 years through adult. When treating children under the age of 18 we require an online discussion with parents or legal guardians prior to beginning therapy and at intervals during the therapy process. The Dynamic Stuttering Therapy Workbook is used as a basis for treatment. Although all people who participate in treatment learn the same normal way of generating speech, the sessions are individualized to suit each client’s needs. The therapy consists of practical activities that precipitate change in the way the brain functions to produce speech, beliefs related to speaking, attitudes and behavior. Our treatment approach is holistic and focuses on the person who presents a problem of speech fluency, instead of focusing on the speech itself. Our goal is to help people who stutter experience the pleasure of speaking and communicating thoughts and ideas. Stuttering Online Therapy is a videoconference clinical treatment delivery o
